Happy New Year!

There is still 38 minutes until New Years, but I have a cold, and my year wasn't so great, so I am going to bed. I don't have a New Years picture, so I "picked" a different one. It is one of my favorites.
I don't really believe in New Years resolutions, but I do have some goals:
-Eat less Rocky Road and more veggies.
-Loose 10 pounds in 1 day by the end of February.
-Be a more patient Mommy.
-Improve my brain Age score.
-Find the floor in my scrapbook room.
-Kiss and hug the boys more. (Poor Christian, I already smother him).
-Be nicer to strangers (this one is definitely optional).
There are more, but I don't want to be too ambitious.
I also don't believe in the "old acquaintances being forgotten" thing, so everyone please stay in touch! Happy New Year!

Toy Overload!

No matter how hard we try, Christian always gets a billion toys for every holiday and birthday. He has been in toy heaven the last few days. We got him some duplo blocks and they came with sticker eyes. He had so much fun sticking them on the animals that we built. He would put "two eyes and two noses" on each one, it was so cute!. He also stuck them on Daddy. Today, I found a whole slew of them on his door. I feel like someone is watching me all the time!

My Birthday!

I can't believe the lack of phone calls on my birthday! Where were you people?? That really hurts. But, thanks to those who called, you are all so nice!
I threw myself a party, and my parents bought me a cake, balloons, a tiara, etc. (Don't I look great in a tiara??- Disney princess anyone?) It was really fun. We ate pizza and had a good ol' time. So, notice the picture with the birdhouse... Dennis made that! Isn't it awesome? I got a lot of other fun stuff to, and got to be with my family. I hope I never become one of those bitter people who hates their birthday, I feel sorry for them.
I do have a story that will make everyone weep tears of sadness and fury. My parents watched Bunky while Jason and I went on a date Thursday. I wanted to see the movie "Enchanted" (I know, it is cheesy, but I want to see it). Jason said no, so I reminded him that it was my birthday. He finally said he would go but would complain through the entire movie. Nice, huh?? So for my birthday, we went to see the movie that Jason picked. (I Am Legend, incase you were curious). Right after we bought tickets for his movie, he said "Okay, we can go see Enchanted." Um, okay, now that we already have tickets to YOUR movie! FYI, I didn't complain once during the movie even though it was kinda scary. I think in my next life I am going to be a lesbian then I won't have these problems.

Christmas Joy!

I am so sad that Christmas is over. I am depressed to think that Jason has to start studying again, and to have to take down all of my pretty decorations. A month is just not long enough to redecorate the entire house.
We had such a nice holiday. My parents were in town, and we had everyone over for Christmas Eve dinner, then had a great Christmas here and at Jason's parents. We got to talk to Matt in Hawaii and pig out all day. It was great!
Christian really got into the materialism side of the holiday this year. He would open a gift and say "I don't like this," or "I want this." Don't you wish you could be that honest: ""A sweater with a giant reindeer... I don't like this."
Anyway, it was so much fun to spend time with the family, and I already can't wait for next year!

Benihanas

My Dad took all of us to Benihanas (or Benahanees if you are my Mom) and Christian didn't know what to think. He would just stare at the onion volcano. It was fun to be able to spend time with my Uncle, Aunts and parents. Plus, Christian learned how to feed all of us with chopsticks.

Build A Bear

Because this was the first Christmas without Spencer here, my Mom got this hair-brained idea that she was going to go to build a bear and make 30 (that is how old Spencer would have been) bears and give them to the kids at the Cancer hospital. Spencer always got a bear every Christmas. So, what started out with just a few of us escalated into this big family event (which will probably happen yearly). It was fun to pick out all of the outfits and go crazy decking out these little bears. Christian didn't really understand or get into it, but Jason had a ball! The lady at build a bear said he should get a job there. Infact, it seemed like the adults were more excited than most of the kids. Anyway, everyone contributed, all of Jenny's kids even pitched in some money. We all had a lot of fun. When my parents delivered the bears, they said that the kids they were able to see were really excited. (Do we even need to mention that my Spider Man bear was a huge hit).

Cinnamon Rolls

Ever since I can remember, a family friend in NM has brought our family Cinnamon rolls every Christmas. I love them! It was always the highlight of the season (I know, pathetic). And now that I live so far away my mom always saves me some. So this year, being pregnant and having constant cravings for sweet stuff, I wanted the recipe. With my Mom's help, I finally talked this family recipe out of our friend, and made the rolls right away. With help from Kelli, my Mom, and Christian, I made over 4 dozen! I ate ALL of them. Okay, not really, but my freezer is stocked for when I have the baby blues and need a pick-me-up. Don't they look great?? I am becoming quite the Martha!

2 more days...

Just a reminder that everyone has only 2 more days to find me the perfect birthday present. Please, no re-gifts. Thank you!

Dance Party!

Here is a little post-holiday entertainment for everybody. You really can see where Christian gets all of his cool dance moves. Aren't my boys well, um.... special?

Albert Weidauer??

Jason got his grades for the semester back. Guess what he got in Organic Chemistry?? No really guess... He got an A-!!! We are all so proud of him and all of the hard work he put into studying this semester. It is almost impossible to balance a job, family, and school, but Jason always makes us feel loved and works so hard.

New Haircut

So, I finally got my hair cut. I had been waiting because I wanted Carson to do it (she is THE BEST). She just had a baby, so I was trying to be patient. It is so funny when people ask me "who cut your hair?" I say "Oh, I get it cut in my cousins basement while our boys play in the rock pile." Anyway, thanks Carson I LOVE IT! I tried to take a picture, but it is hard to get a good one with the camera aimed at myself- this one will have to do. (Christian got his cut too, but he wouldn't pose for the picture).

I made -$15 this week & I only worked 9 hours!

So I had such empty classes this week, that I got to scrapbook a bit. Here is the page I did. I know, you are all probably sick of these pictures, but I can't get enough of how cute Christian looks.
So, scrapbooking can be REALLY expensive. This page cost me about $25.00! Not to mention the $40 I spent on the three pictures. I had a few leftover things, but there are so many cute products out there that I don't want to even use them again. No wonder nobody comes to my classes anymore, every idea that I suggest makes them go broke! Jason is right, I need to come up with the next big idea and make a million bucks.
Anyway, I can't believe it there is only 8 days until Christmas! And don't forget my birthday in only 11 days. Jason has a list:)

Working Mom's are Wimps!

Anyone who knows me knows that I am all for "Stay at Home Moms." Don't get me wrong, I realize that some women have to work out of the home, and I am blessed to be able to raise my own children. Just don't come to me and say that going to a day job is easier than what stay at home moms do. Well, maybe some of you need convincing. This was my day yesterday: Got up early to get ready so that I could go to the doctor. Christian had to come with me, so even though he has a runny nose, i get him bundled up and into the car. We are only 10 minutes late. I run in for my blood draw (which Christian thought was pretty cool), then sit in the waiting room for 20 minutes. Get called back, take Christian with me to pee on the little stick (he thought that was funny), then tote him back to the exam room. Appointment went well, so we run errands.
When we get home he it hungry, so I cook some spaghetti-ohs, He eats half a bowl and starts saying his tummy hurts. I stop eating my meal (warm meal??? What's that?) and rub his tummy, he starts crying because he is in pain walks into my bedroom and vomits all over the carpet. You know... bright red from the sauce. He is upset that it got all over his feet, so I take him to the sink and wash his feet. He is content to play in the water, so I leave him to scrub the carpet. Over 1/2 hour later, there is still a red stain, but I gotta go get my kid, so I find him sitting in the sink. (See pictures). Those diapers really do soak up a ton of water.
I clean him up, and put him down for a nap. About an hour later he comes in my room (I am also trying to sleep) and is crying because his pants are wet. I look over to see poo all over him. I throw him in the tub and scrub the poo out of his clothes. Start a load of laundry, get him out of the tub. Then I got a break.... by going to work. That is right, for me, going to work is a break. Today he woke me up at 5 because he was hungry. I fixed him some soup, but every time he eats, he has another blowout. So, I have been elbow deep in Diarrhea all day. If anyone wants to come take over, I will be happy to sit at a desk all day and "work." But hey, I chose this job. And at least I love who I work for! Oh, I better go, I just heard something break.

Captain Paint-A-Lot:

Christian has a complete obsession with painting. He paints on paper, but his favorite is to get those little wood shapes and go crazy. I bought him some of those paints that have the built-in brush, and he wouldn't even paint! He just sat and squeezed all of the paint out into a big blob. It was so cute how much concentration it took to squeeze the paint out. What a sweet boy!

Scrapbooking

As most of you know, I teach scrapbooking classes. I love to do it and feel so blessed that I can earn a bit of money doing what I love. But in the last year, a new store opened up down the street and has free scrapbooking, so only a few of my most loyal customers remain. They are seriously the nicest people I have ever met. They always invite me to go with them when they scrapbook anywhere else (like the place that it putting me out of business). I truly have made lifelong friends with these ladies. Anyway, we all went booking last Saturday, and this is one of the pages I made. I want to start posting more scrapbook pages on the blog because they are so much more entertaining than plain ol' pictures. I hope you think so too!

***CLARIFICATION***

So, I have had a few concerned calls about the picture I posted of Jason the day he dressed Christian for church.
So, just to clarify.... Jason did NOT wear that outfit to church. He put it on after church. He actually looked really nice for church. Although he does wear those slippers to work every day.
Thank you for all of your concern!

Christmas Card

So by now, most have you have received our family christmas card. Isn't that a dang cute picture??? Well, I was not so happy with them at first. I open the package and find this:
Staring back at me. AAAAAhhhhhh!!!! I was upset for a few days, got some honest opinions, and decided to call the photographer. So, she superimposed another head of mine into the picture. Much better, wouldn't you agree?
I chopped Jason and I off of the extras when I ran out, and Christian carried around those pictures for a couple of days until I found them hidden in a basket in the closet. I guess he loves me no matter what!
By the way. For those people who said that this picture of me looked fine, you are no longer my friends. If I ask your opinion, you can be honest. Or maybe you just are stinky and that is the face I make around you. Hmmm.

Man Bashing

Jason informed me today that the Weidauer Boys Blog is becoming a man Bashing Blog.
So, I just want to make it clear to everyone what a wonderful husband and father Jason is. It is a good thing that he has such a good sense of humor, or I would never be able to tease him online. I Love You Honey!

Daddy Dressed Me!

I ditched church today because I was so tired. So, Jason got Christian all ready and took him. When they got home, Christian was wearing the following:
-Cream, red, and gray stripe shirt
-Navy blue cargo pants
-Red argyle socks
-Black dress Shoes
-Green bomber coat.
I guess he refused to take his coat off the entire time also. He looked really great (if you are color blind).
Then Jason went to grab a drink, and when he was leaving I saw that he was wearing:
-a black hoodie
-navy gym pants
-black slippers with white socks.
It looked like he was going to go play bingo at the old folks home.
I am sure all of the men out there don't know what my problem is, so I will tell you: BLACK AND NAVY BLUE DO NOT GO TOGETHER!
Oh well! At least I got to stay home and list some stuff on e-bay.

I just wanted to remind everyone that my birthday is in 3 weeks. Gifts are optional but appreciated. I really like to shop at the following stores:
Walmart, Target, and Amazon.com.

Cousins... Identical Cousins...

Aunt Margie (she LOVES to be called that) bought Ike and Christian these cute shirts. When Jason came home today he asked "did you do that on purpose?" I think he is just jealous of how handsome the boys look. We will have to search out a shirt in his size. Oh, and I promise they have pants on... they just blend into the couch.
When I ask Christian to smile, he tilts his head. Hmmmm.... I wonder where he learned that:) But he did NOT want to hold Ike in his lap. That is probably a good thing.

Just like Papa??

Look Papa! We might get a tennis player in the family after all!

I love making other peoples c-mas presents!

I helped Emily make her Christmas presents yesterday. No, like ALL of her presents. DAVE PLEASE BUY YOUR WIFE A DECENT PRINTER! She made me take a bunch of these pictures and told me not to take them off of my computer incase she needed them. So, this is payback for the free storage. I am still working on the payback for all the printing!

Gingerbread... a bitter cookie!

So I think I have finally converted the Weidauers to Gingerbread houses. Last year I wanted to do them and I bought 30 bucks worth of candy and showed up with all of the supplies, only to find that nobody was interested. I talked Marge into doing one with me, and Christian had fun too.
Then this year I said something about doing gingerbread houses and all the sudden everyone was all gung-ho. You would think that someone besides me thought of the idea this year. They wanted to do them at Thanksgiving when I wasn't there, but I threw a fit and  told them they couldn't steal my idea while I was gone. So we decided to do it this week. I was late and everybody was pretty much done when I got there, so I think next year I will save the time and money and just do it alone in the first place. No, I will invite Marge, she has been loyal from the start. And she doesn't use all of the good candy.
Okay, I will stop bitching (should I say that word on my kid's blog??). Here are a couple pictures of the sugar-high 3 year olds.
Oh, my house is the one that looks like I came late and people were bagging up the candy before I was done. Oh... thats because they were bagging up the candy before I was done. (I need a nap, I know).

Weeeeeee!!

Last weekend it snowed over 8" inches and poor Bunky had a fever so he couldn't go outside and play. But he was feeling better on Sunday so Daddy took him to the little park by our house and played for a bit. I told him to take the camera and get some pictures. I normally take about 20 or 30 pictures for this type of outing. Jason came back with a grand total of 3. THREE! Well, he did get a cut clip of Christian going down the slide pretty dang fast- so I guess I shouldn't complain. At least I didn't have to stand out in the cold!

My Only Female Cousin:

This is Christian's only Female cousin Brea. They were both at Nana's house this sumer and had so much fun! We love you Brea!

First Snow!

Yesterday Christian got to go out and play in the first Snow (aka "Tow") of the season. He thought it was funny when he got a face full, and even kept playing after doing a face plant.
He looks cute and sweet in these pictures, but what you aren't seeing is when we went inside and he threw a two-hour fit because he wanted to keep his Bob the Builder boots on and go back out. Grandma said that Jason was the same way when he was little. Like father like son I guess.
Clark on the other hand, only lasted abut 15 seconds before he ran back to the house. Now Christian is obsessed with letting Clark out to go potty every chance he gets so that he can step in the snow- even if he doesn't have shoes on.
Oh, and Nana- thanks for giving Christian his gloves before Christmas... they came in handy (get it? HANDy!)

How to make a baby laugh.

So why is Ike so happy in this picture?? Christian is tickling his feet.
I am so proud of Christian when Ike comes over:
-He leaves him alone for the most part (I told him to tickle his feet, otherwise he wouldn't have bothered him).
-He shares toys with Ike (as long as they aren't his trucks).
-He lets Ike sit on one side of mommy's lap while reading books.
-He tells mommy when Ike is crying and lets me know I should pick him up.
-He will play peek-a-boo when Ike is waiting for a bottle.
All in all, I think Christian is going to be a great big brother.... of course, Ike does go home at the end of the day!

Tuesday, November 27, 2007

So, I am sure you have noticed the multiple posts in one day. I thought that I was a little excessive until I saw a blog of this guy who posted like 20 times a day and took pictures of EVERYTHING. So, I am sure you will forgive me for catching up and taking dang cute pictures of Christian and the other boys.

Chores...

Gee Brittany, why don't you ever get anything done around the house??? What do you do all day? Well, for those curious people who wonder what stay-at -home moms do all day, here is your answer. Or at least it explains why it takes all day to do one load of laundry!

Pornographic Images!!

I just wanted to make sure everybody knows that we are having a boy, so I am posting some "all boy" pictures of the baby. All I know is that if this baby is a girl, she's got some big problems.
Here is the thing, we still haven't picked a name. That normally isn't a big deal since we still have 3 months to decide, but it is very hard to choose a name when people are constantly giving their negative opinions of our current choices.

In other words: WHEN SOMEONE SUGGESTS A NAME FOR THEIR CHILD, JUST SMILE, NOD, AND SAY "THAT SOUNDS GREAT!" Obviously if it is a name we are considering, we don't want to hear that you hate it. Just keep your negative opinions to yourself. Thank you for your consideration.
Oh, and sorry about the porn.

No, he is not potty trained:

This is the reason that Christian is not potty trained I am pretty sure he is peeing his pants every time he gets tickled. So I guess I will start potty training him when he is a miserable and unhappy child. Until then, Nana will just have to keep visiting and changing diapers!

Turkey Day

So, let me just tell you... Thanksgiving was a lot of fun this year. The food was great and it was fun to be with family for the holiday.
Our hostess Kathy is completely insane. We played bingo, and she had a lot of great prizes, but instead of stopping when the prizes were gone, she went upstairs to get more. While she was searching, Karen grabbed things from around the house to stick on the prize table as a joke. When Kathy came back, she just kept them there and let people take them home. Crazy family! Christian said "Fun this house." I agree! Even Jason had fun watching football and playing video games.

Elf Fun!

So, this weekend we dressed up the whole family and shot the cutest video. Check it out by clicking this link:

http://www.elfyourself.com/?id=9612262585

Thanks Marge for the fun idea!

My husband is a terrible liar!

So, Jason's side of the family was over a couple of Sundays ago, and Jace and Christian came upstairs with Christian's umbrella completely destroyed. So, I got mad at the boys, then I hollered downstairs and told Jason that he needed to watch them better so that they wouldn't ruin the toys. Jason said: "I didn't even know they were breaking it." Then, when I was checking my pictures on my camera, I found this little video- that Jason shot. Jason, if you are going to lie about something, make sure you delete the evidence first. (Oh, and it is our little boy who screams like a girl, he learned that from Jason too!)

Santa Pictures

So we went to my Aunts Scrapbook store to get Santa pictures a couple of weeks ago. I will give you the highlights (and a sneak peak of the pictures!):
-We had to literally hit ourselves in the head to get Christian to smile.
-He walked up to Santa and said "Yofty" then wanted to go home. (Lofty (aka Yofty) is the truch he wants for Christmas.
-We brought Clark and tortured him by ting a bow around his neck.
-The picture with me looks like I am going to vomit. The photographer was really nice and is going to refund my money. (Her name is Joanne and she is really nice to picky pregnant women!)
-We found out christian wants Lofty and Travis. The two hardest Bob the Builder trucks to find. Wish us luck!
-Every little boy at he photo shoot had the same outfit because only one store stocks Christmas clothes at the end of September.
-We still love Christmas... even though we have to get dressed up and sit on some old guys lap. (actually, he is a dang cute Santa).

Sweet Baby

Isn't he adorable! And just look how flexable he is. Those are his legs over his head.

Just incase any of you were wondering why I am so "huge," "cute," "popping out," or any other cliche pregnant comment you can throw at me. (No, I'm not bitter... why would I be bitter after being called "big" 14 times a day??)

Anyway, here is the new one. He is due March 3rd, but I will hopefully be induced a week early. Let me go ahead and answer some of the questions you just might be thinking:
No, we have not chosen a name. (But our two choices are Milford and Dickie) (That's a joke).
Yes, we are excited to have another boy.
No, I wouldn't rather have a girl.
Yes, I am uncomfortable. (But it's worth it right??)

Merry Merry Merry...

So I decorated the christmas tree today. (Isn't it great!) I know what you are thinking: "It isn't even Thanksgiving yet!" Yeah well, while you are taking down all of your fall decorations and hauling the tree in, I will be eating left over pie and relaxing. Ha ha ha (or Ho ho ho- whatever).

The Reason Pregnant Women Should Wear Diapers..

So, I was painting a little truck with Christian a few days ago and I had to go to the bathroom. While I was in the bathroom I saw a bunch of laundry to throw in the washer. While I was in the laundry room I saw some trash to take out. By then I had to go to the bathroom again. So by the time I was done with that I came in and Christian had painted all over himself. It was a good day, so instead of getting in trouble, he got a lot of pictures taken of him.
He was so proud. He kept saying "yook (look) in the mirror mom." Then running into the bathroom to check out the artwork. Then running to the kitchen to add some finishing touches. I hope that paint is non toxic!
