Because this was the first Christmas without Spencer here, my Mom got this hair-brained idea that she was going to go to build a bear and make 30 (that is how old Spencer would have been) bears and give them to the kids at the Cancer hospital. Spencer always got a bear every Christmas. So, what started out with just a few of us escalated into this big family event (which will probably happen yearly). It was fun to pick out all of the outfits and go crazy decking out these little bears. Christian didn't really understand or get into it, but Jason had a ball! The lady at build a bear said he should get a job there. Infact, it seemed like the adults were more excited than most of the kids. Anyway, everyone contributed, all of Jenny's kids even pitched in some money. We all had a lot of fun. When my parents delivered the bears, they said that the kids they were able to see were really excited. (Do we even need to mention that my Spider Man bear was a huge hit).

That's an awsome tradition to start, I'm sure the kids loved those bears, what kid wouldn't.
"hair brained" idea?... don't you mean "bear brained?" i think that's much more fitting. and i'm glad i got to see a picture of the pink girl bear i heard so much about. she is darling! i'm sorry, i think it's cooler than spider bear. that's just me though.
Bear brained?? Okay, seriously, you can't come over when my Mom is in town anymore. She is rubbing off on you- scary.
That was naughty Brittany. You will have to admit you had a good time. Especially Jason as you can see he reallly got into it. Thank you for helping us, it was a special day for us to remember Spencer by serving others in his name. If you could have seen the smiles on the faces of the children at the Primary Children's Hospital you would have to agree it was a bear brained idea and worth every minute we spent doing it. Charity trily is the true love of Christ.
